In the exam room
Attention to the person.
Attention to the details.
Dr. Fewins keeps the visit focused on your history, the examination and the conversation. He uses pen and paper during the visit, keeping a computer screen out of the space between you.
He wants you to understand the findings and the reason for his recommendation. With sinus imaging, that often means looking at the scan together and connecting what it shows with the symptoms you described.
Care may involve medication, observation, a procedure or another specialist’s expertise. The standard stays the same: a medically sound recommendation he would be comfortable making to his own family.
He selects technology for the information it adds to care, from reviewing sinus scans with patients to examining vocal-fold vibration with video stroboscopy.
How he evaluates nose and sinus problemsDetailed voice care
Dr. Fewins also has substantial experience and training in voice disorders. His office uses video stroboscopy, with laryngeal Botox and in-office injection laryngoplasty available for appropriate patients.

Away from the practice, Dr. Fewins enjoys time with his wife and their college-age children, and playing tennis.
At home, Archie, a wire-haired fox terrier, keeps watch for squirrels. Winnie, a wheaten terrier, keeps Archie occupied.
